Did You Miss It? Update on Suffolk County’s Reclaim Our Water Initiative and Septic Improvement Program

Click here to read through this extremely thorough and informational presentation given recently by Peter Scully, Deputy County Executive and Suffolk’s Water Czar.  MacArthur Business Alliance members and guests discovered the history of the efforts to install sewers in various districts across the county, the challenges and steep costs associated with these projects.  Suffolk County recognizes the increasing need to lower the amount of nitrogen in our waterways and is in the forefront of tackling this problem into the future.  Mr. Scully presented a thorough review of the process of installing sewers, including the MacArthur Sewer District, and the County’s Septic Improvement Program.
